Sad Day...

Today is a sad day for me. Yesterday, as I was getting ready for work, I noticed that sweet Tobi Lucy Dog was not hanging out in her usual spot (under my feet). When I went to check on her, she was in her kennel and had thrown up and pooped on the floor in the living room. Although she often will pee on the floor just to make a point, she has only pooped inside one other time and it was when she was very sick. So, obviously, I knew she must not be feeling well. So, I cleaned up the mess and loved on her a little, since I figured she didn't feel good. Then, I decided to go on to work and if she wasn't better by the time I got home, I would call the Vet. Now, mind you, she was FINE on Sunday night. We went for a walk like always and she was begging for my Cheerios and we sat on the couch like always. So, I had no real reason to feel any extra concern or worry other than she had a little bug or something.
So, yesterday evening when I arrived home from work, I found that my sweet Tobi Lucy Dog had died while I was away. She was laying in her kennel where I had left her. After I had a serious emotional breakdown, I called Jen and John and they came over and wrapped her up and we took her to Jen's house and they buried her in the back yard.
I still can't believe she's gone. It is such a strange feeling and I miss her already. She was such a pain in the butt sometimes, but she was MY pain in the butt and I loved her.
Anyway, I'm feeling a little blue today.
