Updates on Mom...
So, I just got off the phone with my sister and I have learned that my mom is not doing so good. I guess she's having some yucky side effects to the new treatment, so they are trying to decide now what to do. 2 months ago, her tumor markers were at 400...that's what alerted the doctor that the cancer was growing again. Just a few weeks ago her tumor markers had increased to 2,000...showing that the cancer is still growing at a rapid pace. Today, I learned that her tumor markers are now at 6,000.
Of course, I'm not a doctor, so I really don't know what all of this means, but what I do know is that it isn't good. Not at all.
I'm leaving on Thursday to be home for Christmas and New Year's. Please, please, please continue to lift up my mom in prayer.
