The Rundown...
It's Monday again. How does this keep happening? Just when I get geared up for the weekend, I blink twice and it's Monday again. Sigh.
I actually had a good weekend. Here's the rundown:
Friday
I spent Friday afternoon with my favorite 2 kiddos on the planet...oh and their momma, too. I had dinner on Friday with Sara. I watched movies with Molly & Julie Friday night.
Saturday
Saturday morning, I helped Jon and Laura pack the moving van...that was not so fun, but at least there were fun people there to hang with. In the afternoon, I went grocery shopping, cleaned my apartment, & went to work. Later on, my friends Laurie and Suzy arrived from out of town to stay with me and we went to O's house for a fun game night. I kicked some major "colia" in Balderdash! I think that means I'm a good liar.
Sunday
Got up and went to work...I sent my friends Laurie and Suz on a secret mission to check out the singles ABF class that I've been unable to attend due to my work schedule. Met up with them in time for church and got to hear an incredible message on the future vision for Southeast. It makes me excited to be a part of this place!! We went to lunch at Mark's Feed Store (can I get an Amen for the world's best glass of sweet tea) and then home for a quick nap before heading back to church for The Vine. Went out to Chili's for dinner with some friends and then spent the remainder of the evening solving all the world's problems with the girls. Matching-matching green squared!
Highlights:
Hugs and kisses from the babies
Introduction to My Space.com at Molly's
Becky's definition of "colia"
Break and bakes at Olivia's
Stalking and Kripsy Kremes
65 degree weather in January...leading to Sunday naps with the windows open!
Skillet Queso
News of 2 of my best friends being pregnant at the same time!!
Lowlights:
Not to bring everybody down, but more bad news to report on mom. Her tumor markers are still on the rise...gone up from 6,000 to 9,000 in just 2 weeks. They've decided to stop the chemo and let her enjoy some time feeling at least somewhat good. I'm planning a trip to Centralia this weekend...my brother and his family will be home, too. Mom's birthday is this week, so we will all be home to celebrate it with her.
I'll try to keep everyone up to date on things, but I continue to ask for prayer...for strength, courage and peace...for mom and for our entire family.
