Just a Short One...

Over the past few weeks, some of my favorite friends who have moved away from the Ville have been back in town visiting. Jen and Anthony were here for the big wedding, and then Brando was in town yesterday for the holiday.

A common theme among the visitors is that they have had a hard time in their new homes finding a group of friends like the ones here. I must admit, I often take for granted the "gang" that I run with. Most of us are on staff and are in our mid 20s to 30s and a core group of us have been together for almost 7 years.

I guess what I was reminded of recently is that these people who I call my friends are a rare and special breed. Not everyone has friends like these and those of us lucky enough to have them should feel blessed.
