Football And Me...

I have been on a journey of self-discovery. Over the past few months, I have found...through much prayer and deep introspection...that I actually enjoy watching the game of football. I know, I know...this is a huge step for me. We don't have to get into the reasons why, or what was the catalyst for this journey. All we really need to know is that it happened. Somewhere along the way, I got roped in. After years and years of fighting against the machine...it finally caught me.

Now, let's be quite clear. I am still and will always be completely DEVOTED to baseball and to my beloved St. Louis Cardinals. But, my heart is big and somewhere in a deep crevice, football has taken root. For the first time in my life, I actually know the teams who are playing in the Super Bowl...before Super Bowl Sunday...and could probably name at least a couple of players on those teams. What is the world coming to? Next thing you know, I'll be learning to scuba dive...ok...that's just crazy talk.
